This also entails providing support for areas of needs that may arise within the department, including the support of the general accountants. This position will also be responsible for identifying potential areas of opportunity within the department and driving solutions to accomplish these. This offers a wide exposure to the various accounting functions within the Company. Much of the involvement will be in certain daily, monthly, and annual processes of the finance department, which includes monthly and annual closings, budgeting, and physical inventory and may also include payroll, tax, and\/or cost accounting functions as may be assigned.<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: Corporate Controller<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Duties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for certain monthly and annual financial close processes and reporting needs.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and analyze business activity to support areas of financial forecasting and planning.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and maintain certain monthly financial analysis and account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the budget process, including preparation of the appropriate schedules and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure certain general ledger transactions are recorded and classified accurately and timely.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for the year end audit process.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and take ownership of projects from start to finish. This includes identifying a project timeline, resources needed, and managing the project to ensure it is completed accurately and timely.<\/li>\n<li>Support other areas within the department when technical or capacity issues arise.<\/li>\n<li>Other responsibilities may be assigned to include:<\/li>\n<li>Responsibility for tracking and maintaining fixed assets<\/li>\n<li>Certain inventory analysis and cost accounting responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Support international entities within areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support when needed to the general accountants.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in identifying areas of improvement and developing procedures within the team to automate and improve efficiencies<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties and special projects as requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related Business degree.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to apply a broad knowledge of accounting principles to a variety of corporate accounting activities ranging from routine daily transactions to complex analyses.<\/li>\n<li>Strong skill set of Microsoft office applications.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Oracle software is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>Basler Electric welcomes employment applications received directly from interested candidates. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
