Basler is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative electrical control and protection technologies serving high-growth industrial markets. Our portfolio of advanced solutions regulates and protects mission-critical power equipment for a broad and expanding customer base.<\/h3>\n<h3>Description<\/h3>\n<p>Integration design, installation\/installation support, and on-site commissioning of voltage regulators and excitation or generator protection systems.<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: General Manager Basler Services<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Duties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete wiring and\/or provide technical direction to craft labor for installation of new generator excitation and protection and controls equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for developing installation task lists and designs.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for material and equipment procurement on assigned projects.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate mobilization, demolition, and installation activities including equipment and tool shipping, scheduling, and supervision of craft labor on site.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with maintenance and testing of generator excitation systems, protective relays, and other auxiliary equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in educational activities.<\/li>\n<li>Write trip reports that describe, in detail, the system and device failure and actions taken. Review the system problem and solution with the greater Engineering group.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to customer sites to oversee installations of equipment, perform system startup or required maintenance, provide instructions for customer maintenance, or repair equipment.<\/li>\n<li>This position requires 50%&ndash;65% travel throughout the US. Remaining office time is focused on engineering designs and reporting for assigned projects.<\/li>\n<li>Perform all other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S.E.E. degree or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>7&ndash;10 years&rsquo; experience in design engineering is desired.<\/li>\n<li>Generator\/electrical system modeling experience desired.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must have utility\/power plant experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with controls systems, prime mover controls including balance of plant PLC with SCADA systems or HMI is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to customer sites to oversee installations of equipment, perform system startup or required maintenance, provide instructions for customer maintenance, or repair equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Drawing update software experience (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar).<\/li>\n<li>Proficient computer and oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>Basler Electric welcomes employment applications received directly from interested candidates. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
